St. Bernard: the File Retrieving Softbot
نویسنده
چکیده
There is a need to empirically validate theoretical Machine Learning research. This can be di cult because the algorithms being tested often require large amounts of training data. Softbots provide a unique solution to this problem. Softbots or software robots are intelligent agents that interact with software environments. By attaching the agent directly to the training environment, it is possible for softbots to gather their own training data. St. Bernard is a softbot that locates les within the UNIX 1 le system. It is based on the theory of satis cing search. The training data used by satis cing search is gathered directly from its environment. St. Bernard demonstrates the usefulness of satis cing search and addresses some of the practical issues of implementing this

Using Text Surrounding Method to Enhance Retrieval of Online Images by Google Search Engine
Purpose: the current research aimed to compare the effectiveness of various tags and codes for retrieving images from the Google. Design/methodology: selected images with different characteristics in a registered domain were carefully studied. The exception was that special conceptual features have been apportioned for each group of images separately. In this regard, each group image surr...

Purpose: The purpose of the present study is to investigate the Impact of Concept-based Image Indexing on Image Retrieval via Google. Due to the importance of images, this article focuses on the features taken into account by Google in retrieving the images. Methodology: The present study is a type of applied research, and the research method used in it comes from quasi-experimental and techno...
متن کاملGenetic Programming Produced Competitive Soccer Softbot Teams for RoboCup97
At RoboCup, teams of autonomous robots or software softbots compete in simulated soccer matches to demonstrate cooperative robotics techniques in a very difficult, real-time, noisy environment. At the IJCAI/RoboCup97 softbot competition, all entries but ours used human-crafted cooperative decision-making behaviors. We instead entered a softbot team whose high-level decision making behaviors had...
متن کاملQuantitative Immunophemotyping of Platelet Surface Glycoproteins among Iranian Patients with Bernard-Soulier Syndrome
Background: Bernard-Soulier syndrome is a rare inherited bleeding disease caused by quantitative or qualitative defect of GPIb/IX/V, a platelet complex that binds the Von Willebrand factor. The expression of GPIb-IX-V complex can be evaluated by flow cytometry and confirmed by the absence of ristocetin-induced platelet aggregation in platelet-rich plasma. The main aim of the present study was t...
متن کاملHyperspaces for Object Clustering and Approximate Matching in Peer-to-Peer Overlays
Existing distributed hash tables provide efficient mechanisms for storing and retrieving a data item based on an exact key, but are unsuitable when the search key is similar, but not identical, to the key used to store the data item. In this paper, we present a scalable and efficient peerto-peer system with a new search primitive that can efficiently find the k data items with keys closest to t...
